Note: Physiotherapy Professional is a person
who practices physiotherapy by undertaking
comprehensive examination and appropriate
investigation, provides treatment and advice to
any persons preparatory to or for the purpose
of or in connection with movement or functional
dysfunction, malfunction, disorder, disability,
healing and pain from trauma and disease, using
physical modalities including exercise,
mobilization, manipulations, electrical and
thermal agents and other electro therapeutics
for prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment,
health promotion and fitness. The
physiotherapist can practice independently or
as a part of a multi-disciplinary team
minimum qualification of a baccalaureate degree.

Physical therapist a rehabilitation professional who promotes optimal health and functional independence through the application of scientific principles to prevent, identify, assess, correct, or alleviate acute or chronic movement dysfunction, physical disability, or pain. A physical therapist is a graduate of a physical therapy program approved by a nationally recognized accrediting body or has achieved the documented equivalent in education, training, or experience; in addition, the therapist must meet any current legal requirements of licensure or registration and be currently competent in the field.
Physiotherapists assess, plan and implement rehabilitative programs that improve or restore human motor functions, maximize movement ability, relieve pain syndromes, and treat or prevent physical challenges associated with injuries, diseases and other impairments. They apply a broad range of physical therapies and techniques such as movement, ultrasound, heating, laser and other techniques. They may develop and implement programmes for screening and prevention of common physical ailments and disorders"
